Giuseppe Vitagliano Brings The Tradition Of Tramonti Pizza To The World Pizza Championship

The World Pizza Championship has always been a stage where master pizza makers showcase their culinary skills to the world. This year, one name shone with its own light: Giuseppe Vitagliano, bringing with him the typical recipe of Tramonti pizza.

Giuseppe Vitagliano, a prominent figure in the Tramonti Worldwide Corporation, represents a long tradition of pizza makers rooted in the picturesque village of Tramonti, nestled among the Lattari Mountains of the Amalfi Coast. A tradition that dates back to 1987, when the Corporation and its newspaper emerged, bringing not only the authentic flavor of Tramonti pizza but also the skill and passion that characterize its pizza makers.

Giuseppe’s story is that of a true ambassador of Tramonti culture and tradition. Son of pizza makers, he honed his skills at his parents’ pizzeria “PIC NIC” in Asti, Italy, before taking his talent to distant lands such as California and Florida, where he opened several restaurants, including “TRAMONTI” and “LA GIOCONDA.”

Tramonti pizza, with its ancient and unique dough, represents the soul of this tradition. Made from four types of whole grains – millet, barley, rye, and spelt – and enriched with a touch of wild spiced fennel native to Tramonti, it is a delight to the palate and a tribute to the millennia-old history of this enchanting place.

Giuseppe Vitagliano is no stranger to the international pizza stage. Since 1996, he has brought the authenticity of Tramonti pizza to the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, proudly presenting Tramonti’s local products. But it was in 2024 that he took a significant step, presenting Tramonti pizza at the “Molino Dallagiovanna” booth, known for its high-quality flours. Thanks to this partnership, Giuseppe obtained exclusive rights to the mill’s flours, which he will use in his new establishment “Dolce Forno” in Florida.

Giuseppe’s presence at the World Pizza Championship is not just a personal triumph but also a tribute to his homeland and Tramonti culture. With his dedication and passion, he continues to spread the richness and authenticity of this culinary tradition in the United States and beyond.
